I see my experience with music as a journey. As I get older and broaden my musical horizons, I’m constantly finding new interests in material that I would never have expected. In fact, it has been like this for as far back as I can remember. I’ve never truly been able to pin down a favorite song or artist because my interests are always shifting and changing. It may seem a bit silly, but that’s how I like it. Music is an art, which makes it inherently subjective. It affects me in different ways at different times, and that’s truly a wonderful thing. Because of this, I find few mediums as expressive as music.
When I first came up with the idea for Soundboard, I intended for it to be an avenue to share the music that the panel found interesting. However, I’ve realized it’s doing something else as well: documenting this lifelong journey.
