Cake - Long Time

On January 11, 2011, the Sacramento based band Cake released the album Showroom of Compassion. Now I, being a Cake fan, was shocked to learn this information. Have you ever been unaware of one of you favorite  artists’ new material? It’s a little bothersome, isn’t it? Where were you while this band that you claim to love was putting out new music? Being part of a collaborative music blog? Yeah… that sounds like a good excuse. Wait, no… it really doesn’t.

This is Long Time, one of the singles from the album, and I’m going to pretend all of this was released on January 11, 2012 because that’s just how I roll.
