WZRD - Teleport 2 Me, Jamie

I’m straying a bit from my usual modus operandi with this one. Have you heard of WZRD yet? If not, let me educate you. The alternative rock duo is the brainchild of Kid Cudi and is composed of him and frequent collaborator, Dot da Genius. I’ve always enjoyed Cudi, not necessarily for his complexity and musical chops, but definitely for his honesty and his ability to make great music to just chill to. WZRD released this track a little over a week ago and it’s been in my head ever since. I honestly expected their stuff to sound a bit different, but I’m pleasantly surprised, and this song has made me pretty excited for their eponymous debut album to drop on February 28. Until then, both Teleport 2 Me, Jamie and their previous single, Brake, are available on iTunes.
